Are You A Human Being or a Human Doing?
The Holiday Season is in full swing and it is a time where there is more distraction, more obligations, more calls to use your mental, physical and emotional energy and financial life energy. There seems to be no time for ourselves, our thoughts, and our needs. Daily we are bombarded by sound, bad news, loud music, sirens, construction, and others’ conversations.
Most people seem to have programmed themselves to be afraid of quiet time. I wonder if they are afraid to hear themselves actually THINK. Most average people when they enter a room, habitually turn on the television, radio, and computer. Many people preserve no quiet time whatsoever in each day, even each week. Frankly, if you identify with this, you need to give yourself a reality check and ask yourself why you are not listening to the inner part of yourself.
Spiritual teachers tend to agree that we need to go into silence for wisdom. When you can visit the silent spaces of your mind and turn off the external noise, you are most likely to discover new possibilities and opportunities, new and different solutions to nagging problems. Quiet time can recharge your life energy. I urge you to demand more silence in your life. I urge you to create, to schedule quiet times during the next month where the Holidays seem to dominate everything. The best holiday could be one where you decide to do more for your own inner health and happiness so you can be a better human being.
Are you a human being – or a human doing? Our lives have become endless work, non-stop activity. This kind of non-stop ‘doing’ wears you down and wears you out. I advise my coaching clients to radically change their schedules and set aside one out of every seven days when they do not answer the phone, they do not do business, they make up a day of relaxation, recreation, quiet time, and time with family. This is not a new idea. There is the tradition of the Sabbath, one day a week set aside as holy, for rest, rehabilitation, prayer, meditation, thought and family, not work. This has been lost to many today. People who used to rest on Saturday or Sunday now spend those days shopping, working around the house, paying bills, and conducting business.
Don’t you think you deserve one day of real rest each week? Make sure you go to your calendar and schedule some OFF time during this holiday season where you actually rest and do things that nurture you!

Are You Getting What You Want in Life?
I want to take some time today to remind you of the power of your mind in assisting you to create exactly what you want and need in your life.
The best way to prepare for anything in life is to imagine success (the end result).
You can also use this same powerful tool to get rid of any bad habits.
For example: You can release your desire to eat things that are not for your best good, you can release the desire to enact on old habits that have needlessly caused you pain, money, and suffering by simply deciding to use your most powerful inner tool, your mind.
Your imagination is your own personal workshop of the mind.
In it, you can see all the possibilities of the future and exactly how to go about creating those dreams.
You can rehearse the possibilities, create plans, and mentally rehearse ways to succeed, all in the privacy of your mind.
WE are Self-Fulfilling Prophecies in what we think about ourselves.
It pays for us to think positive thoughts about our future.
Mental rehearsal is using the mind to create a better existence.
This tool has actually been known, used, and explored since the beginning of time. The Roman Philosopher Marcus Aurelius said, Our life is what our thoughts make it. Walt Disney said, If you can dream it, you can do it. Everything we create in the physical world starts as an idea.
Today, a growing variety of people use this powerful tool to create better lives for themselves. Business people, athletes, teachers, physicians, psychotherapists, and even dieters find mental rehearsal to be very powerful. The mind is far more resourceful and complicated than we have ever recognized. Winston Churchill said, The empires of the future are the empires of the mind.
We are always creating our reality from our thoughts. Our thoughts act like blueprints of the image we want to create. The image magnetizes and guides physical energy to flow into the form we have imagined, and allows us to manifest our desires into reality. This is simply the principle that as you sow, so shall you reap, in your thoughts and in your life. We always attract into our lives whatever we strongly believe, think about, or imagine most vividly.
Do You want to be Empowered to Overcome ANY Unproductive Behavior or Bad Habit You have, whether it is Abusing Your Body with Food, Nicotine, or Alcohol, Losing Your Temper, Lying, Procrastination, Compulsive Shopping, or ANY other Unwanted or Life-Removing Habit?
I’m going to help You Rid Yourself of those Bad Habits Once and For All, and for a Fraction of the Normal Price. I have a highly effective program that I promise you will give you your life back. Are People Running Away from You and Your Business?
The other day I went to a local store where I bought some deck furniture last year.
Over the years, I have found that normal outside furniture has rusted, blown away, or needed painting.
So I found this new outside furniture that isn’t wood, won’t rust, and never needs painting!
It’s very heavy and attractive and is made from recycled plastic bottles and containers.
It has the look of traditional painted wood furniture, but doesn’t require any maintenance.
So last year, I redid my entire back deck with this wonderful and expensive furniture.
I love it and wanted some more of it.
I decided to reward myself and invest in my beach home again by replacing my top deck furniture.
So I went back to the same store I bought from before. Wow, what a change in energy from last year!
They recognized me since I had been to the store before and had dealt with the owners.
But this year as I started discussing the pieces I wanted, the first thing the owner said to me was Wow, you are not going to believe the price increase from last year.
The company has really raised the prices and now the freight is so high due to gas prices that I no longer can offer you any discounts from the retail prices like I did last year.
I had actually walked into this store with the intent of spending another few thousand bucks to invest in my home.
But as our conversation progressed, the owner kept showing me a comparison of what I paid last year and what I would have to pay this year.
Bottom line: he talked me out of the sale with his negative view of life, and I was the only person in the store for over an hour.
Now again, I went into the store to buy. I have no idea exactly what I paid last year. That was last year. Of course, I expected prices to be a bit higher. So what?
That is called life.
Stuff gets more expensive, so buy now is my attitude.
I was so repelled by this energy that I could not do business with these folks, and most likely will never go into that store again.
Plus, when I went into this store on a Monday morning at 10:30 AM, it looked closed. No lights, no one in the store except for the owner. They are doomed. They are closed and don’t even know it.
I am guessing they have run off all interested prospects from doing business with them. It’s not like they are the only people selling the stuff they sell. They are out of business due to their reactions to price increases, and don’t know it yet. They have created their own gloom and doom reality.
By the way, if they had just ignored the price increase and talked about how great the product was and how it would last over 25 years and still look new, never had to be painted –today I would be the proud owner of new deck furniture!
So bottom line, what are you thinking and focusing on?
Are you letting the negative news determine your mood and energy of life?
CUT THE NEWS OFF!!!!
Stop hanging around people who bitch and moan all the time about what stuff costs.
Ask yourself, what are you and your staff talking about with customers and clients?
If it’s not the benefits and how your products and services will make them feel good—well you too, will have folks running out and away from your service or business. You must look at and focus on what is good, what is working, and how you are the right people to create solutions for others’ needs!
Forget the cost of gas! Forget prices are higher, and focus on creating great services and making people happy! The fact is that there are always people spending money on things they want and need. You had better make sure, when they give you a crack at their money, you are in the state of mind to take it.
P.S. Is your attitude or that of your staff’s sending your potential customers/clients running from your business? Do you or your staff have a perspective that resembles this store owner? Turn that perspective around with Lee Milteer’s Untamed Success Coaching Program, which will give you a New Lease on Life so you can Increase Your Sales, regardless of your industry or the economy! Are You Living in Fear?
Do you have dreams and goals that would make your life more exciting and rewarding but you talk yourself out of going for them?
Maybe you are feeling fear about the economy or your own abilities.
We are all bombarded by fears, doubts, and reasons why we cannot accomplish what we want for ourselves.
To help put things into perspective, let me give you an interesting definition of the word fear: Fantasized Experiences Appearing Real.
Most of the things we fear are simply an exaggeration of our imagination.
Since our subconscious mind and our nervous system don’t know the difference between reality and our imagination, they produce the same uncomfortable feelings of anxiety.
Our self-talk has created dragons that appear too big for us to handle.
As a performance coach I urge you to allow yourself to experience your fears and move through them with courage — the courage to look, acknowledge, and experience.
Don’t resist, avoid, or condemn your fears. It’s an interesting paradox in life that when you resist something it persists.
Allowing yourself this growth process is like a butterfly freeing itself from the cocoon.
Many famous writers and artists alike recognize the importance of this metamorphosis: Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Do the thing you fear and the death of fear is certain”.
Eleanor Roosevelt observed, “You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you must stop and look fear in the face. You must do the thing you think you cannot do”.
And Mark Twain put it this way, “Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear — not absence of fear.”
The truth is that success is never final and failure is never fatal — it’s courage that counts.
We have no choice– we have to get past fears.
I know many folks are dealing with big changes in the economy, businesses that were doing well and making a ton of money just a few months ago now might feel incredibly challenged.
Keep in mind that everything in life is always moving.
What appears to be huge and overwhelming is only that way at this moment in time. We all experience fear and doubts and uncertainly.
We have to feed our minds and hearts with information that uplifts us and keeps us on the “right thinking” track that allows us to be resourceful at all times.
When we take the time to nurture our minds and hearts, we will always land on our feet and make lemonade out of lemons.
We need to stop being a victim to past mistakes, fears, doubts, and lack of direction that are holding us back.
One of the realities I’ve discovered as a Performance Coach is that we’re self-fulfilling prophecies.
What we think about ourselves tends to become our reality.
Did you know that on an average day, over 80% of our thoughts are negative?
Can you imagine what they’re like on a bad day?
This means that we are literally programming ourselves to fail or be too scared to try new things.
We all have the power and courage to look our fears in the eye and know that if you give yourself permission, you can deal with any problem or situatio.
The price for not facing your fear is lost opportunities, time, self-esteem, and misuse of potential and talent.
Frankly, I’ve grown to believe that it’s easier to face up to life and do the best you can.
Don’t let fear and doubt rule your life!
One great tool for helping us turn lemons to lemonade and moving past fear is my New Untamed Success Coaching Program.
Each month you’ll receive a new success topic that will influence your business behavior and attitudes, and assist you to move past your fears, doubts, and insecurities.

Choose to Be Proactive in Life!
Are you feeling vulnerable because of the news media’s coverage of how bad the economy is?
Do you spend your time worrying what might happen to your job, career, or business?
Have you found yourself waiting for the economy to improve to take action?
If so, you’re not alone in feeling overwhelmed by the massive changes in reality.
It’s not your fault that we’re living in change and chaos but it is time you get out of chaos and take your life back!
James Allen, in his book, As A Man Thinketh says, “Circumstance does not make the man, it reveals him to himself.”
The next time you meet with defeat or failure, remember that you may not have control over the revolutionary changes or unpleasant circumstances, but you do have control over your reaction to these circumstances.
Exercise this privilege by searching for the seed of opportunity, which is carried in every experience of adversity and sorrow.
We must choose to be proactive in life, and not let life happen to us.
We must be driven by our values and goals, not by outside circumstances.
Your greatness comes from within, so start today to capitalize on your own talents and potential.
The emphasis in our life should be on developing the vision; to see beyond the current situation, develop mental control over our emotions, feel our own power, and assume responsibility for our future.
If you don’t take care of yourself— who will?
To deal effectively with change, we must question our perceptions.
When we resist new ideas, we reject new ways of thinking before we’ve even given them a chance.
We think the past will be the same as the future.
Our vision is narrowed by the old way of looking at life.
We tend to hang on to traditions, ignoring new ways of thinking, because we’re not used to looking at our problems from a broader perspective.
It is important to understand that our mental and emotional attitudes are shaped by our habits.
If we welcome change, we look forward to experimentation and challenges.
However if we’re in a rut and don’t like to experiment with anything new, we shut down any real opportunities for growth and new solutions.
A fixed identity is not going to help you deal with the new reality we live in today.
The more we honor our own power to deal with life, the less we will feel cheated or stressed out by change.
When you stubbornly hold on to old ideas of the way things should be, you shut yourself off from new solutions.
So I want to ask you: What are you doing to take care of yourself and live your best life?
What are you doing to be proactive in life?
What support systems do you have in place for when you do experience adversity and sorrow?
How do you feel about change?
If you’re not sure or don’t have the best systems in place, you would greatly benefit from Lee Milteer’s brand New Untamed Success Coaching. It will supply you with the clarity to achieve your maximum potential, more easily overcome adversity, and manifest a life of success and prosperity.

Are You A Lifetime Learner?
I am sure you have seen this problem lately: People who have been in a job or have had a thriving business get side-swiped by the unexpected and are suddenly not in a secure financial place anymore.
When things are good or even OK, we tend to simply hope things will not change and we are not very motivated to keep investing in our future.
I know I have been lazy like that and maybe you have, too.
The sad thing is that most people don’t seem to have the foresight to expect the unexpected and do something about it.
Not so very long ago the general population thought that once you had completed formal education you were done with learning.
People who believe they are already educated and can rely solely on their past achievements can’t meet today’s challenges and will lose to intense global competition and new technology.
Anyone who expects to keep up today must be devoted to lifelong learning.
An important point to consider is that if you box yourself into a company with just one career or one vision, what happens to you if that company perishes?
The same concept applies to relationships; if you depend on another person to take care of you and support you, what happens if suddenly that support system is no longer there?
Victims learn too late.
It is never wise to depend on the company, the boss or another person to take care of you.
According to Charles Garfield, author of the book Peak Performers, “People now must expect to learn new jobs, two or three times in their lives.”
This is because change is happening so fast that our past skills and knowledge can no longer support us for a lifetime.
If we do not learn new skills, we have no way of achieving upward mobility or any personal security.
Our real source of wealth in life is the information, knowledge, and energy we have inside of us for taking action.
We must make new choices by learning, training, experimentation, and integration of new information.
When you have a clear and compelling view of the benefits of learning, you will strongly influence your own future and the attitudes of the people around you.
New training will open up your mind for creative ways to enhance your life and prosperity.
Think of your mind like a parachute, it only works when opened!
There are so many subjects available to learn about; time and stress management, negotiation skills, leadership and management, relationships, and even parenting skills that can give you new options and new choices.
Today’s opportunities for growth and expansion through self-education are incredibly varied.
There are hundreds of professional seminars, training workshops, college extension courses, video and audio learning cassettes, coaching groups, and a multitude of resourceful books for you to choose from.
It’s important that you take advantage of these resources if you want to be successful — don’t try to reinvent the wheel.
The new knowledge you gain now will make the difference in your future; from your advancement potential to the way you cope daily with your life and family.
Adult learning has been revolutionized like almost everything else in your life.
Even if you hated being a student before, you now have the power to choose what you’re interested in and wish to learn.
This new type of mindset will result in an entirely new set of values and resources.
Everything you learn can be used in some way, — all of your skills are transferable.
When you change your view of who you are and what you are capable of learning, you change your destiny.
You are no longer merely reacting to the present, you are creating your upcoming future by anticipating your learning needs.
Adapting your skills to those needs and taking action by following through with this type of behavior gives you the power to deal with whatever changes you encounter.
So what are you doing to be a lifetime learner?
Lee Milteer has a fantastic new resource called Untamed Success Coaching that will supply you with the clarity to achieve your maximum potential and turn you into a peak performer to manifest a life of success and prosperity.
